CWU RETIRED MEMBERSHIP.

 

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU IF YOU STAY AS A “RETIRED MEMBER”

 

First your Union subs drop to the Retired Member Rates these are at present:

If you wish to pay the POLITICIAL FUND the cost is: £7:73p per month.

If you do not wish to pay the POLITICAL FUND the cost is: £6:50p per month

 

If you cease your membership you lose the CWU Death Benefit which stands at over £1000 which is paid directly to your Death Benefit Nominee on your passing.

If you continue as a Retired Member then this benefit continues – it would be a good time to check your Death Benefit Nominee.

 

A free WILL WRITING with Union Line.

 

Free legal aid via Union Line.

 

A Branch Newsletter 3 times a year with information of interest to the Retired Membership and a copy of the Veteran Magazine from CWU Head Office.

 

Organised “Get Togethers” across the Branch Area where the Branch Provides either a buffet or if held in a local hostelry the Branch will pay for a meal for each Retired Member present. SEE THE NEWSLETTER.

 

A free Union Diary on request.

 

The Retired Member’s Officer is only a phone call away to help out with any enquiries you may have.

 

The ability to submit motions to both the CWU Bi-annual conference as well as the Annual CWU Retired Member’s  Conference.

 

 Retired Member’s Meetings held across the Branch Area with guest speakers of interest to the Retired Members.
